Scout was inspired by the grandeur of The Sierras and the High Desert of Northern Nevada and all the joys that come with living in such an amazing place. Our menus draw inspiration from nature and its exploration. Its that exploration that compels us and we hope you'll take this journey with us.

We begin our adventure with a focus on wild game and foraged foods, just as the early inhabitants of this region did. It sustained them and provided them everything they could want or need. Contemporary preparations of ancient foods transport us all through time and place.

Our culinary journey takes a slight detour with the addition of ingredients sourced from local and regional farms and ranches. Our focus on natural, sustainable and humanely raised goods help us deliver a one of a kind culinary excursion for each of our guests.

A desire to explore the Tahoe and the Northern Sierras through its rich history featuring wild game and fresh regionally raised ingredients is what brings Scout to life. We are incredibly grateful for the  richness of possibilities available to us. 

Dining at Scout is an experience intended to be memorable. Blending  casual elegance, culinary artistry and professional service in a space that brings the beautiful surroundings of the Washoe region to your table side.

Incorporating natural elements, reclaimed wood, stone, water help to create a space that is warm, inviting and perfect for a special evening out, an important business meeting, dinner party, reception or rehearsal dinner.

Whether dining or enjoying a perfectly crafted cocktail, Scout's bar is the ideal place to enjoy an evening while being entertained by our bar staff. Our expertly curated wine list, collection of boutique spirits, craft cocktails and selection of premium ales and lagers pair perfectly with our chef's daily offerings.

THE TEAM

The culinary team at Scout is lead by Chef Evan Roa. With years of fine dining experience in the Tahoe area, hIs relationships with local farmers, ranchers and artisan producers will feature prominently in our daily offerings..

The bar, led by Marvin Kinney, longtime collaborator with the owners and former brewer and cocktail expert will offer craft cocktails, premium spirits, a curated wine list and locally produced craft beers. His knowledge and dedication to his craft shine through with every drink served.

Owners, Rick Boyd and Tatiana Martz moved to Tahoe from Idaho in 2016 and opened Brewforia Beer Market + Kitchen in Incline Village, NV. Since that time they have focused on expanding that business, opening Vinifera Wine and Tapas and becoming part of the local community. They could not be more excited to be bringing Scout to Tahoe.
